Most, if not all, the different modules on Raising Foundation are equipped with the ability to generate reports and there is a separate reports function too.

For data which isn’t available under in reports or any other functions, there is a separate module which offers the ability to produce custom reports. This custom report module is ideal for Census reports, since there is a lot of data on students and select pieces of information that needs to be reported.

Using the online school calendar is a great way for the school community to stay up to date with the latest events and news. When events are created, users can be selected so that faculty members, teachers, students and their parents see events which are relevant to them. This might include such a particular year group’s school trip, a football club or a teacher training day.

Each student and teacher in your school will have their own unique timetable, informing them of each lesson they have for each time period along with the classroom they need to be in. Administrators can build these timetables through a number of different steps, including creating different class timing sets which apply to each student, assigning teachers to their correct subjects and creating the different buildings and classrooms.

Every student, parent and school faculty member including teachers will all have access to different aspects parts of the Raising Foundation portal, depending on their role in your school. Administrators will require access to all features to keep everything running smoothly, whereas teachers will need to be able to create homework assignments and tests but won’t need to add new employees to the system, if they aren’t a senior staff member. Moreover, students will need to complete their homework tasks but don’t need to create them and parents only to needs to see functions which are specific to their child.

Different privileges can be individually selected and assigned to each school member during both of the student and employee admission processes. However since parents are added to the system during student admission, their privileges can be assigned afterwards.

Entering data into our system is simple as our Custom Import feature has a handy guide on how the data must be input to successfully import. Plus, if your data should fail to import there is a bulk edit option which allows you to edit multiple imports at once.

Data from your current system can easily be migrated to our portal by using our Custom Import feature, which uses CSV file. This feature is especially useful for migrating large amounts of data, such as student and employee admission information. Reports on your data can then easily be generated.

Our subscription service includes both the online portal and a school branded app, both of which are designed to improve school community cohesion and communication. The portal can be accessed anywhere from any computing device, whereas the app is designed for your smart phone and can be used on the go.

Our software package comes with all the tools and functions necessary to run your school efficiently and offer your students personalised learning. When you pay for our MIS subscription service, the price includes all of the features without any hidden costs. This means you have access to all the features we provide, plus you can choose exactly which features you want use.

Initially, you may want to enjoy the benefits of some functions, whilst you continue using other subscription services for some features. For example, perhaps you have a contract with another timetable or attendance program and wish to wait until that comes to an end. You have complete flexibility to decide which functions of our MIS you use.

We also offer our support when it comes to integrating your data over from your current system over to Raising Foundation. We have articles and videos under the Support tab, as well as our support email address if you would like further one-on-one help.

Teachers are able to access the assessments module where they can set their choice homework assignments for the students in their class. These assignments are tracked so that they see which students have completed their task and the students who haven’t. The module has an upload function so the teacher can upload whichever file they want to set as their assignment, including documents, spreadsheets, images and many more.

Teachers will be notified when their students complete the homework and can simply download the file and provide them with feedback. This is done over the private messaging function so that every student will receive their own personal feedback. Plus, if a student submits the assignment after the due date the teacher will be able to choose whether they accept or reject the assignment.

Timetables can be scheduled once the teacher has been assigned to their class. Teachers also have the ability to swap their timetable with another faculty member or supply teacher if they are unable to teach a class. 

Teachers also have access to the calendar module where they can create different events, plus these events can also be created in a separate event function.

The event can be created in the same way as in the calendar module and they are also colour coordinated. The colours are the same for everyone’s portal, with blue being for exams, black for general events, red for fees and green for school holidays. In addition to this, the school calendar will account for any school holidays that have been created and no one will be counted as present or absent.

Demographic data of students and faculty members can easily be entered once different student and employee categories are created. Then this data is safely stored on the system and reports, including census reports, can be generated. Plus, with the creation of these categories demographic information will be entered for new students and employees during the admission process.

Our system is integrated with multiple services, including Zoom. You will need the online meeting plugin installed to allow students to attend online classes and staff members to attend meetings. This allows the students to get the full benefits of remote learning as virtual classroom interactions are especially crucial when it comes to a student’s learning.

Different types of grading profiles can be created, which includes a standard grading profile for exams, attributes profiles which is ideal for coursework and activity profiles which can be used for class activities and practical skills. Plus, all these profiles are all customisable and each one can be adjusted depending on whether a subject uses marks, grades or both.

Your school can store all the important documents, videos, photos and reports securely in the different modules in the portal.

The mobile sends out push up notifications whenever there are relevant updates, which includes student attendance. Parents can be immediately informed if their child is absent from a lesson.

All information on school faculty members, students and parents is safely stored in our portal and is entered during the student and employee admission. This includes contact information and the ability to set guardians as emergency contacts, which allows faculty members to get in direct contact with parents when necessary.

ID cards can be created, and the existing data can be imported into our system, along with biometric data. The allows students to use their ID cards to use the library service, pay for school dinners and more.

All demographic data can be included during student and employee admission, once the student and employee categories are created. All this data can be adjusted to ensure it is in line with GDPR and the UK Department for Education recommendations.

Raising Foundation is equipped with a behaviour management module, which allows teachers and other staff members to create an incident report. They can include the student in question, as well as anyone directly involved, a responsible official and how the situation is being resolved.

With the online payment plugin, the portal will allow school staff members to set up payment gateways which will enable parents to make online payments for school trips, dinner money, library fines, plus many more types of fees. Raising Foundation is integrated with PayPal, Stripe and many other payment gateways to ensure that money is being transferred safely and securely. We are also currently in the process of integrating with Parent Pay, as lots of parents are used to this payment gateway and we want to the payment process to be as convenient as possible.

The gradebook module allows teachers to keep their different classes’ exams organised in exam planners, which can be created for each term. These exams can be scheduled, students will be notified and once completed, the marks can be entered. A marks scheme can also be stored in the module so that teachers can accurately mark the exams.

Any important medical information and student dietary requirements can be entered during the student admission process and stored in the portal. These specific required can either be added to student categories or additional admission information, which will allow the admissions team to input the information in either field. Plus, any field can be marked as a required field so that it must be filled out to proceed with the admission.

The portal has a gallery which can be set up to ensure that school members can see selected photos, which are relevant to them. The photos could include school trips, school sports day, last days of terms and many other special occasions. It’s especially useful for parents who are unable to attend a particular event, as they are still able to see photos of their child having fun.

Once timetables have been created for the different classes, drop-in sessions can be added to specific student’s timetables. This is useful for students taking exams, who might have broken up for half term but are still able to come into school to study.

School member’s dashboards on the portal will look different, depending on their role in the school. They will see dashlets containing updates and information which is most relevant to them, for example a student may see a homework assignment and their timetable. The dashboards can also be easily customised so that anyone can change which information they would like to see.

Teachers will be able to see the completed homework and tests from their students, as well keeping the feedback they have provided, in order to determine each student’s learning progress. Once the level of learning is understood and the students’ planners have been created in the gradebook module, teachers will have all the information they need to create informative lesson plans and track their students’ levels of learning.

Once the marks for students’ exams have been entered, their grades will be generated which allows for reports to be created. Individual student exam reports can be sent to their parents, typically termly and annually. This allows parents, students and the teacher to track the student’s progress and make any necessary changes to their studying, homework and overall learning progress.

Raising Foundation understands the importance of keeping your school updated on the latest news and events, which is why we have several different modules for this in case anyone misses an announcement from one source. One of these modules is the news feature, where a school faculty member posts an announcement, and anyone in the school can post their thoughts in the moderated comments section. The news board keeps the school community up to date with the latest news and allows them to connect. 

The private messaging feature is available for all school members to directly communicate with each other, which is especially useful for teachers giving students feedback on their assignments. It’s also useful for parents and teachers to efficiently communicate with each other, especially if one person has a quick question about homework or an upcoming event.

A teacher has the ability to create a discussion group and add any members of their choice so they can all interact with each other and share their views, through posting comments. This could be useful for after school clubs, study groups and school sports teams to discuss potential changes and updates on important news. Any members can respond to comments whilst administrators can delete any inappropriate ones.

Similarly to the discussion board, the poll module offers the school faculty and students the chance to share their opinions. The difference is that the school community can anonymously vote on topics that are created by an admin or a school staff member who is able to create polls. This is a useful feature for instantly gaining feedback on a new school lunch item or a new school club, as an example.

When any updates in the portal occur, such as a new homework assignment or a new event in the calendar, notifications will be sent out to the people they are relevant to. Notifications for homework updates and more are also sent out in the app, which uses pop up notifications. So when school members receive them, it’s the first thing they will see on their phone.

The majority of the modules on the portal come equipped with the ability to generate different reports, using CSV file. These modules include class attendance, exam reports, incident reports and many more. There is also a separate reports function which allows school staff members to generate a wider range of reports. Many of these are reports for different years, classes, students, employees and so much more.

As well as easily generated reports, we offer another module where faculty members can create their own unique reports. This is done by inputting existing data on students and staff, by selecting the different input criteria they want to use, such as nationality, medical conditions etc. They can also choose different fields they want include like the class or year, and select the order these appear in. Then these created reports can be downloaded.

Since different members of the school will have different features they can access, an administrator can choose who they want to be able to create different reports. They may, for example, allow teachers to generate reports for exams and attendance as this is a quick and easy process. As mentioned, the report function for these features is located within the modules so it would be convenient for teachers to download these. However, they may also decide that the custom reports feature should only be used by certain staff members to remove any unnecessary admin work from teachers. 

7. Admissions & Enrollment

After successfully migrating large amounts of data to our system, these can easily be downloaded as reports from our data exports feature. This is also useful if your school wishes to back up all their data on a computing device.

Additionally, the features on our portal allow you to create reports and export data which is in line with GDPR and the UK Department for Education MIS standards.

We regularly update our MIS every six months and inform schools of any new features added. They are able to use these features at no extra cost, if they wish. Plus, we take on board any feedback and are able to make changes based on this, during the updating period.

As many different types of documents can contain sensitive information on students and personnel records, they can either be stored in user-specific folders or folders which only privileged staff can access. The administrator will be able to organise these documents into different folders and then select exactly which staff members are authorised to see them. This allows all personal information and child protection documents to be stored safely in the system.

Similarly to the documents, the school gallery can also be organised into folders and specific school members can be selected to view them. As an example, your school administration team may decide that parents can only be granted access to see pictures of their child for safety purposes.

The school is not only ideal for checking any information on the go, but it is also complete with a user-friendly interface. Everything you need is all listed on one menu from timetable to announcements, which makes it simple and straightforward to use. It’s a concise version of the portal so whilst it contains less features, its purpose is to briefly check anything you might need and the portal can be used for completing any work.

Any files you want to import from your current MIS, as well as export from our portal, can be done in several different formats. Our system is compatible with CTF, CSV, or XML files so you can choose the option most suitable for you.
