A payment gateway is a service that can be integrated with Raising Foundation to handle online fee payments.
After an institution configures the payment gateway, the users can perform secure online fee payments using payment methods such as credit cards, debit cards and net banking.
These online transactions with Raising Foundation are handled securely through encrypted channels.
To configure a custom payment gateway, you will need the configuration parameters from the payment gateway provider you have chosen. These parameters must be entered in through:
- Configuration Fields: these include the merchant credentials such as merchant ID, transaction password and currency. These configuration fields are then sent to the gateway to authenticate the merchant for a transaction. Mandatory configuration parameter: ‘target_url’
- Variable Fields: this can include variable parameters such as amount, redirect URL and item name.
- Response Parameters: these are mandatory parameters such as amount, success code, transaction status and transaction reference.
